Selinunte and its temples

An ancient Greek city. It was founded by colonies from Megara Hyblaea in 628 BC. It was the most western colony of the island.

Today the area where the ruins are conserved covers 270 hectares and four areas are important to visit are: the eastern area of the Temples, the Acropolis, the ancient city and the sanctuary of Malophoros.
